Hi Everyone,
I see that Environment Minister Gormley and Justice Minister Lenihan have launched a "Community Graffiti Reduction Programme." Apparently €3.75million is being provided to combat this scourge in 2008. Local community groups can apply for funding. More details can be found on the Dept of the Environment website...here:

Finally, I think we all agree with Justice Minister Lenihan when he says that: “Graffiti is, at best, an irritant and at worst outright vandalism. It is regrettably found across a broad range of areas.”
Too true -- it's just shocking that people think they can daub their tawdry messages anywhere they like.
