Well for sometime now Unapam has asked me to post photos of the project
I've been doing here in this old miner's cottage I bought two years ago.

I have been doing this on a wing and a prayer. I depend mainly on DA from
DSFA due to a long term disability so JT has been a Godsend to me.

I cannot remember the names of all the individual JTowners who gave me the
things they no longer needed, but I am sure you will all recognise the items
that once graced your homes which now take pride of place in my little home.

Teak Windows given to me by JTowner in Wexford last year. There are 4 of
them all different sizes.

Picture I received which someone framed for me.

TV I received which someone built a shelf for.

Suit of furniture someone gave me which graces a small sunroom built using 3
of the windows I got from person in Wexford.

There are more images but I can only add 4 images.

I also received some donegal quartz which has still to be laid, so when I have
photos of that I will post them.

Everything I have received has been put to great use.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far.

It is lovely! My favourite is the sunroom area. You have made a really cheerful comfortable home here. It just shows what can be done... and with a minimum carbon footprint. Wonderful!

Thanks everyone for all the feedback and encouragement.

I haggled for everything that I had to buy new or pay for.

I bought the large suit 2nd hand 6 years ago and had it recovered.

I bought the kitchen which was 15 years old when I bought it.

The older part of the house has 2ft thick walls.

I got a unit from a JTowner which I have installed in the kitchen alcove which
stores dishcloths, medicines, and other bits and pieces.

People are amazed at what I have done on little or nothing. Everything that
has been done has been done with a long term view, in other words, this is
for life.

I use Eudemon light bulbs which are long life energy saving. Thanks to a
JTowner I am composting.

The house is cosy and the energy here feels good.
