I have loads of batteries at home that need to be sorted out into good ones and used ones so i can bring them to a collection centre (i see Tesco has a bank for used ones)

Just wondering whether anyone has a short cut to check whether batteries are still good or not?

Many thanks for replies

There is a small gadget you can buy that tests all batteries. Is about the size of a large cigarette lighter. Indicates condition of the battery on a scale from good to dead, so you can put aside part-used batteries for future use in clocks, etc. It cost about a fiver. I think I bought it in McQuillans or some similar type DIY store. Is a great thing, I use it at least once a week.

Tescos do a great little gadget for testing batteries ( Draper brand )

I got one before christmas for only 99cent it tests batteries all different sizes and you can also use it to check light bulbs and fuses.

They might still have them.

Regards,

Fries.

*Edit* I found this link, when I got it it was reduced to 99c.
