Hi I got these two lovely storage boxes from the lovely MISETUSA a few weeks ago. I collect 1970's items and need some matching storage boxes so I repainted these with some 70's geometric patterns so they match my other bits. 1 coat of varnish and there you go.

Not to everyones taste but I love em :)

there was alot of measuring involved to get them right, i had pics from the net from old fabric and i copied the main design, couldn't trace them unfortunately as pics were too small :(

Thanks guys :)

Lovely job Melissabell they look great. When you say you varnished over them what did you use, ordinary clear varnish in a tin? I would like to try something like this so would appreciate your advice.

Thanks

I used acrylic paint for the design and the varnish was just clear varnish that you use on wood etc. I'm sure other types of paint would work for the base aswell :)

Gotta admit I liked the originals but job well done. They do look lovely and it must've taken some patience to do such a quality job. Fair play to ya.
