*****heaps to ask, am overwhelmed******

new naked concrete yard, need to know where to buy VERY cheaply such things as water barrels, feeders, trellis, ground cover, plants, all things 'garden' and of course how to get for nought!!!!
So limited budget, too limited to mention, i am poking and prodding for all the ideas imaginable. Now is THAT a jumble post or not?

Pots & Trellis

Hi again MinniePal,
I use anything that'll hold soil as a plant pot: buckets, plastic tubs, bins, big paint drums, etc. (Used a leaky water tank once for hedging). If u paint them & camouflage them with nicer looking smaller pots & plants in front, u won't even see them; or plant them with dangly-down plants that'll cover them. And I use long twigs/branches as trellis(pushed into the pot); when the plant gets taller drive 2 nails in the wall & string wire across them, u won't see that either as the plant covers it; then u can add more as the plant climbs. I've nice bendy wire that doesn't rust that u can have along with those cuttings I promised you(which I'll keep an eye on until they're a bit stronger).
cheerio, M

Mandoline have you any bendy wire when the time comes and the climbers get bigger and need the support, you mentioned this in an early post.

Bendy wire

Hiya, I certainly have bendy wire and it's stuff that won't rust either - I forgot all about it on that rainy miserable day! I'd love a bit of your fuschia thanks, if you stick woody bits of it about a foot long into pots now, by spring they'll have rooted (hopefully). I'll round up the wire and a few nails and we'll do another 'drop' you know where and help ourselves to a few cuttings - they won't mind! I might get a chance next week (as now's the time for hardwood cuttings). I'll pm you when I know what work's like. Glad to hear your on the mend. Cheerio, M.
