out of control beanstalk

hi all,
can someone tell me what high do beanstalks grow to?
mine is huge almost 14" and growing.

i think my lad must have planted magic beans because its growing very quickly

also does anyone know if this is an outdoor plant?
as its getting to big to keep indoors.
my lad brought this plant home to me about 10 days ago, it had hardly grown above the plant holder, now i am trying to keep stright with straws, because its so big that its flopping over.

even if i repot it, its going to flop over.

Help, i dont know what to do with this plant :-)

Beanstalk

Your posting made me laugh out loud. A couple of years ago my hubby thought it would be a great idea to have a few runnerbeans. He planted a number of them and eight grew on. We trailed them up and around 8ft bamboo tripods and they kept on coming. I traded them for bananas in our local veg shop. There were literally hundreds of beans every day to pick!!!
Needless to say things are on a much smaller scale now. But that bean can be put outside and trained on just about anything. If it's a runner bean you'll be rewarded with fabulous red flowers.
Good luck!

hiya mammsboys

my friend was in fits of laughter here last night, she couldnt believe the flaming thing grew so quickly.

i have to find a deeper pot for it...as the pot its in is just not supporting it.

and some thing to hold the thing up.

mammasboys, i nearly had a heart attack when i seen 8ft...flaming hell, did it really grow to that size?

Beans

Easily covered the tripods and then trailed all over the place too. But come the first frost...all disappears. I'd take it outside, you could have a triffid experience indoors!

Is your son called Jack by any chance? If so I'd be cutting that thing down quickly. You don't want any giants climbing down it - although you've got the goose with the golden eggs to look forward to - mmmm dilemma.

Seriously though, I havent' a clue but best of luck with it and hope you get sorted.
