Repurposed: Aluminium can shadow lamps
 

I've been really inspired by the stunning Lumen shadow lamps here: http://www.adamfrank.com/lumen/lumen_all.htm so I decided to have a go at seeing could I get a similar effect on the cheap by cutting shapes from a drink can. I stuck to simple shapes for the first attempt (and until I can afford my own lazer cutter and work with materials like stainless steel hehe).

They look pretty cool lit up in my living room though :)
I just used a cheap old 2 euro shop scissors (you probably don't want to use your good dressmaking scissors for this because it does blunt them).

Gorgeous job. Well done. Now I know what to do with beer cans my visitors leave behind them! (Not admitting to using any myself!!)
