hat stand - just an idea
 

I am going to trawl hotels to see if one can be got from them as they are NOT coming up here! Hat stands are not a common item anymore but I saw a few in a conference centre in a hotel in crewe recently. Just the ticket too, I have to say.

Saw something on sale on ebay which I am gonna try and borrow.
A long bamboo with clothes pegs. Hung horizontally I can put clothes pegs and for delicate hats use some kind of spong between the clasp. As an added bonus I will match the colour of the hat with the colour of the peg - great innit?

Sounds great minnie pal. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Is there any way of using somethign curved (half a burst football or something) to give support to the hats and keep their shape maybe?
