Gardening

I'm sure this isn't the right place for this subject but I'd appreciate any help/comments received. When I moved two years ago I was full of bright ideas for the garden, which hadn't had anything done to it in over ten years, it had been planted (lawn and some shrubs/trees) but the lawns are very wet, patchy and full of moss. The shrubs were never pruned so some became overgrown and more died. I'd love to start a small vegetable garden and put in some flower beds, unfortunately I've only ever grown flowers in containers so all in all I need as much help as I can get, so if any one knows of any groups or clubs that I could join I'd appreciate the information.

Gardening in Limerick

If you're in the city, this to me would be the best place to go for advice. Many allotment groups are only to happy to help a fellow gardener with plants/etc in exchange for a chat with a like minded soul, many also run courses on gardening for beginners.

I was the same way when we got our new garden. I didn't know where to start.
I picked up some great ideas and got lots of questions answered on http://www.gardenplansireland.com/forum/ as it's a bloody huge gardening forum. I was weeks looking through this and picking the brains of my next door gardening neighbors befor I even made a start. LOL.
