Re-purposed beer box
4 Attachment(s)
I wanted to make my shelving unit look neater with storage boxes. So I just covered a few beer boxes(had great fun emptying the boxes)lol!
Pic 1; I cut 4cm off the top and used masking tape to hold the flaps together for the height that I wanted.I also made a frame of masking tape around the edge of the box and painted it white because I was using a 12"x12" page and it didn't cover all the way to the edges. Pic 2; I stuck some double sided tape on the back of the paper. Pic 3; I stuck the page to the front of the box. Pic 4; They look neater in my unit. I want to make a couple more and if I get a chance I'l cover the sides as well. Thanks for looking Regards Scrabble |

Wow...they look great. Very cutting edge! A great way to tidy up shelves. I'll be nicking that idea for sure.

Hiya
Im new to this, i would love a unit like the one you have, for the kids toys, did you get it on here ? Also the beer box idea is brill, i'l also be copying it if i get a unit like yours. Cat101 |
Hi cat101,
I bought the unit in Homebase a few years ago.I painted it white and turned it on its side.It suits where I have it better that way. I haven't been to the new Ikea yet but I have the catalog and they have units very like this. They also have great ideas for storing toys. With money been tight I thought it best to make my own storage boxes. And I can decorate them any colour or design I like. Regards Scrabble |
Deadly! would love to try it, but I don't drink beer!

most off-licenses will provide empty boxes if you're interested.
