Origami envelopes? To make?

hiya, try going on to youtube and typing in origami envelopes at least there you can copy them step by step and pause it if you fall behind a bit.

Just another suggestion, seeing as you are going down the thoughtful eco homemade gift route, why not age newspapers with tea (dunno how to do this) and use the old dyed newspapers for the origami envelopes.

should have thought of the former!

yes, should have thought of the former but love the ideas of the newspapers indeed!

I saw some envelopes made out of childrens' colourful comics once but can't remember where. The comics used were the superhero type of thing.

another great idea!

i have a load of 'bunty' comics from my young years, they are raggedy and although they might be worth something, i think this woiuld be fun.
I guess my brother would be horrified, as most things have to have a monetary value and if he saw the buntys' origamiiied, i think he might get a mighty fright!
i love the idea though, really do.
xxand thanks

I use X-cut punches. They come in different sizes but all make lovely tiny to teensy little envelopes - ideal for tiny seeds. Google X-Cut and have a look and see what you can find. Mine are quite old so they may even have some in the end of line type section for quite cheap?

Here's one for 9.99

This is a template for an envelope - unfortunately out of stock but maybe you could order? 1.99

Why not make the 'envelopes' out of xmas paper? (old stuff, if you've kept any)

This is a video tutorial for a very elegant little Japanese envelope. YOu could seal the centre point with a nice sticker: http://www.ehow.com/video_4433721_ma...e_-part-2.html
