re items offered

hi chris, small complaint to make, not about jumbletown itself but about people who have replied to my ads. I have offered the items in question to people, given my phone no. to make arrangements for collection but nobody has taken it any further. What am I doing wrong?

Hi mw100860,

Admin gives advice about "Good Communications" between Members in the following Support Forum post:

http://www.jumbletown.ie/forums/showthread.php?t=6871

Potential Takers receive automatic email notification if a response/offer has been made by a Giver (either on the ad/thread or by PM). It is their responsibility to check their emails and the JumbleTown website. A Taker's failure to respond may be due to computer/internet trouble, family/work pressure, illness, loss of interest, or forgetfulness ... in other words, a myriad of reasons.

Ideally, Givers should state on their ads how long they are prepared to wait for a response from a potential Taker. If no response is forthcoming in the stated time-period, the Giver should move on to the next potential Taker.

Regards
Chris P
