i ended up having to get a company to come and pump out the tank,its quite expensive but at least they dispose of it safely,

thanks for the info,but would the water still be contaminated by the oil,how would i get rid of it,i wouldn't imagine its safe to let it out in the garden or down a drain???

disposing of kerosene

would anyone know how i'd dispose of kerosene,the oil tank from the previous owner was left without a lid so now i have about 300 litres of of oil/water that i need to get rid of before i can fill...
