what about slate flagstones? I had them in my last house. I got the brownish coloured ones but they had lots of orange and green and other colours and patterns speckled through which looked fab - you...

at electric picnic they use them as decorations - hang them from trees near a night light source and they catch the light as they spin in the wind - look a bit like a cross between christmas tree...

Paint Removal - advice needed

have you tried nitromors? it blisters the paint and you can scrape it off then... have only done it on wood though, not tiles, so not sure if it will affect them or not, probably not very 'green'...
