I have a clothes dryer but I prefer to hang them out side. Even in the winter. We used to hang them out all the time. It's funny taking them down in the winter they are freeze dried and real stiff.

My compost bin is behind the house. As long as you don't get it to moist, you won't have to worry about how to get rid of flys, mosquitoes, and such.

I checked out the site you posted. Not bad looking. I too, compost but its only me and I took the cheap way out and use a plastic container that had Baby Spring mix in it. Work fine for me.

Another way to get rid of flies is to get a bottle make a paper cone, invert it put it in the bottle with the cider mixture. They can't get out one in.

Thanks for the info! But how do you keep out the insects that you don't want in there like fly larvae, mosquitoes, beetles and such??

We here at the assembly use just about all vegetable, fruit waste. We DO NOT use any meat waste. Even wilted lettuce.
