you can break up the concrete using a kango hammer....easily available from a tool hire company............break a little first and see how thick the concrete is....usally 3 to 4 inches.................topsoil is the best to put in to get it ready for grass...............you should be ok with pipes as they should be16 to 18 inches under the ground.....................i hope this is of help to you.......have fun.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
