Type of paint
It was ten years ago but I know it was paint left over from painting a room. A friend of mine had done something similar to wine bottles. When it was all finished and completely dry (after doing the design on top) I coated it with household varnish in very thin coats so the bottles could be washed - after all they were going to three kids and we all know about mucky little fingerprints!!! Would love to see pics if anyone does it. Anyone can. I can't draw to save my life but the pictures came out perfect.
