Hi Minni pal, sounds to me from your description that you have got an Ercol side table.They were as far as I know the only manufacturer who made these tables in a kidney shape,They made them as nests of 3 tables-graduating in size and they all fitted into each other.Very sought after pieces of Retro furniture-originally cost a fortune so be on the look out for the rest of the set!
