Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that the scam that involves asking people to collect plastic lids so that they can get a wheelchair for a needy person is going around again. I saw this on another site and did a bit of investigating. The person who wanted the lids told me that he sends them to the IWA and they send the wheelchair. I thought this sounded a bit weird so I contacted the IWA and they said that they have never run such a thing. But what they did tell me was very interesting.Some company buy lids by the tonne. So the person asking for the lids is not working on behalf of anyone in need of a wheelchair.
I wanted to let the good people of Jumbletown know because I know alot of people would have given to this "Good cause"!!!
