Default Graffiti Reduction Programme / Grants Available

Hi Everyone,

I see that Environment Minister Gormley and Justice Minister Lenihan have launched a "Community Graffiti Reduction Programme." Apparently €3.75million is being provided to combat this scourge in 2008. Local community groups can apply for funding. More details can be found on the Dept of the Environment website...here:

http://www.environ.ie/en/Environment...y,17038,en.htm

Finally, I think we all agree with Justice Minister Lenihan when he says that: “Graffiti is, at best, an irritant and at worst outright vandalism. It is regrettably found across a broad range of areas.”

Too true -- it's just shocking that people think they can daub their tawdry messages anywhere they like.

Regards
