![]() Updated kitchen presses with the addition of a new press from a kind jumbletowner to extend the existing kitchen for more storage.
These are old laminate presses that got a make over recently with a few coats of paint. The colour is blue/grey but cream or white would work well also. I painted them because they were extremely shabby looking and I wanted to extend the kitchen with an odd tall press (in at the end- see picture) that a fellow jumbletowner kindly donated to me. I have lots of badly needed new storage (if I get bored and find the energy, I might paint them a different colour)! Rachelirl |

![]() Hia,
these look brilliant. I've been thinking of painting my kitchen cupboards. Did you use undercoat or primer before the topcoat? Ed |

![]() Hi Edel,
I used about two coats of undercoat before using the top coat. The top coat is quick drying satin paint which I had mixed to the blue grey colour. I also used a mini gloss roller as well as a paint brush as you get the best finish. happy painting, P.S make sure your presses are very clean before painting if you decide to go ahead etc Rachel |

![]() Thanx. Thought of using a roller alright, you can never smooth brush strokes out fully!
