Default Mahogany Fireplace paint

Hi all,

Does anyone know what type of paint to use for a mahogany fireplace? I want to paint it white, and don't know if I need a special type of paint.

Default fireplace

Hi,
Have just painted my fireplace and turned out fab,
use primer first, then used SOLO by crown, I used a cream colour as it is softer, going to paint floor boards after xmas.

I didn't know if there was a special paint that wouldn't peel or crack when the fire is lit.Thanks a mil!
