Default unwelcome visitor (rat!?)

Anyone know of a way of getting rid of a rat? When I go into the kitchen a black streak runs out. I am sure it must be a rat, but I have never got close enough to identify him. I put down mouse traps with no success. Alex

Hi Alex, If you phone the HSE Pest Control Section, St. Brendans Hosp. Dub. Just tell them you have rats, they'll send an operative out to you to check how the rats are getting into your house and will lay poison and will call back to check in a few days (you might be looking for a more eco way of getting rid though). The HSE Pest Control services are FREE as opposed to getting a private company out and costing a fortune. Hope you get sorted!!
