Default Ireland’s new World Heritage Tentative List

Mr. John Gormley, T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, announced today (14 April, 2010) Ireland’s new Tentative List of potential nominees to the World Heritage List. The new Tentative List has been submitted to UNESCO with a view to presentation to the World Heritage Committee meeting scheduled to take place from 25 July - 3 August 2010 in Brasilia.

Tentative List - Ireland 2010 (Alphabetical Order)

1. The Burren
2. Céide Fields and NW Mayo Boglands
3. The Monastic City of Clonmacnoise and its Cultural Landscape
4. The Historic City of Dublin
5. Early Medieval Monastic Sites (Clonmacnoise, Durrow, Glendalough, Inis Cealtra, Kells and Monasterboice)
6. The Royal Sites of Ireland (Cashel, Dún Ailinne, Hill of Uisneach, Rathcroghan Complex and Tara Complex)
7. Western Stone Forts
