Default Does anyone know if ... (JT UK)

There are sites like jumbletown in Britain? I'm asking because partner's brother lives in England and was amazed when I told him about JT. He thought I was joking then he visited and asked me to find out for him. I guess his thinking was ... Would JT have sister sites or whatever you might call them in Britain? Somehow I doubt it but I promised I'd ask anyway.

Hi ozieandros,

I wrote a note about JumbleTown UK a while back on a thread called "Northern Ireland." Please see here:

Default British Jumbletown

Oh Chris indeed I can well imagine how busy this is for the whole of Ireland. Covelay is right you know! A jumbletown in Britain would do so well. Here's hoping someone in Britain (I'm talking about England/Scotland and Wales) Might just pick up on jumbletown.ie and start something there.

Reading your thread and post by the person who asked you about it ... My friends in Scotland and partner's brother in England would all welcome a similar site there.

Thanks for reply! I'm about to break the bad news to Mick's brother.

Hi ozieandros,

Residents of "mainland" UK should check out the following:

The FreeCycle Groups -- they don't have a website as such; they use Yahoo News Groups.
http://www.freecycle.org/group/UK/

Recycle.co.uk
