Default cleaning pvc windows

Hi everyone,
A few years ago we replaced our old windows with new pvc ones in white but unfortunately we omitted to remove the plastic coating off some of them at the back of the house. Now it seems to have weathered onto the frames and is proving a killer to remove.
Any ideas?
