Default Garden benches and table

This is a project I did for my friend recently. She had rescued an old metal frame from a neighbour's ditch, which she sanded and painted. I had an old gate-leg table that I got on Jumbletown with some chairs. Only needed the chairs so the table was sitting in the shed. A little dismantling and reconstructing and the table top was in place. Two pieces of scaffolding plank, sanded and cut to size and the two benches were made. There was a hole in the original table top for a parasol and a holder for a parasol base on the metal frame, so no problem there. Now all we need is the weather and we can sit sipping our wine!!

Thanks, yes it is amazing what is thrown out. There was a beautiful double pine bed thrown in the wood section of our recycling centre. I managed to rescue the headboard part but there was some damage to it, so I am working on reusing parts of it--watch this space!!

Default Well done!

Hi Eibhlin, to think this was rescued from a ditch! It looks fantastic, I'm crossing my fingers for good weather (and wine al fresco for you), I love to see upcycling like this, you're a girl after my own heart, best regards, Shonastar x
