Hi

I love the site and it is the first page I click on in the morning.

The only problem I have with it is that many times I've gone into an item that has been marked Available, I scroll down the thread to find the item has been taken by PM.

Could it not be done in such a way that all agreements are done on the board and then personal details swapped by way of PM? This means that everyone knows where they stand and don't assume that just because they answered on the board means they have 'won' the item.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

I agree with this...It would be better if the issue of takin the product was discussed openly..

Hi lindaloo, and K.C,

We already have guidelines requesting people to update their ad on the public forum - unfortunately not everyone does.

We are looking at including a new "Reserved" status, which will allow you to see at a glance that an item is in the process of being Taken.

The Private Messaging area also has a reminder (in green font) for Givers to update their public ad.

UPDATE: October: Members can now mark their item as "Reserved."
