Hello everyone thank you for the kind comments, by the time i had scrubbed the fag smoke off it and the mold, it didn't need stripping, I think it had never been touched since it was made, I just let it dry out and painted it with a small roller, 2 coats of duck egg paint from holnebase (ah hm), iam just at the moment doing a large dresser in the same colour to match, and a very kind jumbletowner gave me a table and chairs so fek it i did the legs of that too, i might do the chairs as well and hope the paint runs out soon as iam looking at the fridge and it seems to be cowering in the corner.

Jessi1, I have a childs size monks bench I've been meaning to do this to for ages, feel free to to take it on if you run out of projects, I'll provide the coffee & buns lol!

forgot to say, after scrubbing it down I gave it a coat of 50/50 pva and water before i painted it.

That looks fantastic...a real treasure. They don't make them like that anymore. You did a wonderful job and the colour is my absolute favourite. Well done!
