Default Dolls Cradle, chest and chair

This is a project I worked on in November as I wanted to give it to my sister for Christmas. My sister won this little set when she was 9years old. Many years later, the set was looking old and tired and she asked if I could restore it.

I really enjoyed doing it as it was an opportunity to use different skills--woodwork, painting, sewing and I am delighted with the result. Oh! so was she when I gave it to her just before Christmas.

I am reminded of the old saying: 'What we make is generally for others, How we make it is for ourselves'.

Thanks for all the lovely comments. Loved doing this. There is such satisfaction in restoring something and bring it back to life. Looking forward to my next project---watch this space!!
