Default painting woven baskets

i got a tall boy thing with wicker baskets off a jt and wonder if its difficult to paint em or do you just have to get the small brush in there and attack for hours on end!
its dark brown and real willow.
any suggestions?

Default its going on great!

spray painted the small wicket cabinet today, went on a dream.
hope that by pulling out the baskets to get items the paint wont rub off the metal frame, got this off a free forum on boards.ie so if it doesnt work i will try covering the tops with some material.
but thrilled with the spraying - as i did them on top of my coal bunker very nearly wrote my name, 'ak rules ok!' on the side! but then remembered it would be there a considerable time!!
