Default use of recycled car tyres

I was asked to come up with an idea for a local club in cork,
they had a real ugly garden to the front that was all overgrown and was full of stones.
after deciding the layout and planting, i decided it would be a new idea to include rubber car tyre mulch into the design, at first when put to the club they were a bit unsure. The tyres are the black and red circle and the diamond design down the side

Currently working on otherside of garden where you can see in pic 2 is all overgrown and full of rubbish

Looks like your doing a lovely job there. Can you tell me more about the rubber mulch you used? Where did you buy it & how much? Thanks
