Default how do you remove permanent marker....

how would you remove permanent marker from a varnished timber door without damaging the finish? any advice would be greatly appreciated :) thanks

Default baking soda

try mixing some baking soda with water and run the paste onto wood.
Hairspray might work either, spray some onto cotton wool and rub over marker-ive used this on walls before but not wood.

the hairspray seems to have workd but didnt get it all off...ill giv it another going over 2moro....thanks a mill :)
