Default hall stairs and landing

hi anne, as i dont have stairs im not really qualified to comment but my son fell down his stairs the other day and his has a landing half way up , he blamed nylon socks and i remember his partner fell too ( no drink involved ! ) i would imagine laminate might be slippy , if i had stairs i would put a carpet runner in a plain colour with brass bars , best wishes with your project
