Default Jewellery

Some people have been very kind over the last year or so and have sent me old unwanted or broken bits of jewellery that I could pass on to my hubby to have a go at making something nice as he is really enjoying designing and making things.

I don't have pictures of everything he's made as much of it has been given away as birthday or Christmas gifts but I thought it might be a nice thank you to everyone to let you know that your contributions have not gone to waste.

All of the copper items he has made consist mostly of household wire that he pulled out of a skip when our neighbour was renovating. He stripped the covering off and then just wove the wire and interwove it with jewellery making wire or chainmail or beads - some stuff is really cool, other items are not to everyone's taste. The little tree is some very thin copper wire just twisted and shaped, glued to a flat stone and looks great as a wee ornament or used as a paper weight.

What an amazing talent your hubby has! Although I am not into jewellery myself, I really like the celtic style woven bracelets. But I do love anything to do with trees and the copper tree is fab! Well done.

That is totally amazing, I think they're brilliant! I love the tree....could be modded to hold jewelry or little photos, even mini style for place cards at a special meal.

Default Money Maker

The things he has made from copper wire are ideal for a market stall or ebay.

If these were laquered they would not leave marks on your wrist.

Great work.

Lovely stuff Mickey. I'm deadly impressed!!! Maybe he should try making some from the openers on cans - you know, the rings we pull to open our can of coke. Check out ETSY, (just google it, can't remember site address) and go into jewellery and you can see some. It's amazing what can be recycled thesedays. LOVE the wee tree.
