Default how to get rid of fir bushes

i have fir bushes in my garden and want to get rid of them with out using chemicals.any ideas please?????

Default fir bushes

Hi iliy, if these bushes are definitely fir then all you have to do is cut them down. Once you remove all the green from an evergreen tree or bush it stops growing. You can then cut the stumps right to the ground or to required height. As they continue to be firm in the ground, they make good fencing posts or support for new trees etc. so don't chop them down in a hurry and then regret it . My sister used hers to create a rabbit run in the garden with wire fixed fron stump to stump. Happy gardening, Eibhlin.
