Default home made birdfeeder idea

i plan to try this:
take one medium plastic plant pot, cut a small 'u' shape at the lip with a sharp knife, (small bird size)
flip upside down
stick to a plastic plant pot water container thingy,
string through the plant pot drainage holes and hang upside down.
pour in seed etc using a small plastic jug or similar.
i havent tried yet, but when i do will let you know how it gets on.

Default sorry badly explained

put plastic plant pot upside down on a plastic water catch tray for plastic potted plants, stick em together, but before that, make a hole for a small bird to get in and hang then using the drainage holes now at the top!
better?

did this years ago and it works, only thing is cover the drainage holes with tape or as the rain gets in and clogs or cakes the seed.it also works as a hanging water supply system....
