Default Egyptian headdress (how to make one?)

Anyone know how to make one of these in under a week?!? Fancy dress next week and we have egyptian kaftans. My mate is getting a cleopatra wig and I thought it'd be good fun to try and make one of the headdresses with the snake on it or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. C'mon you crafty devils.

Thank you.

Kilk, might get you to bring the wig with you to the party - I just thought of a use for it. I don't think the pharoahs had blue curly hair though!

Narizota, thanks for the link. Was looking for something more but I may not have time to do something more so keeping your link handy. Thanks again.

Could you dye it? Or would it dye? What about rubber snake from Euro Shop, and put climbing out of top of head, or make like headband with snake? This is interesting alright!! Good luck with it! What about Medusa, lots of snakes? No?

use a swimming hat (those bubbly ones that hold ther shape)as a base and stick plastic rattle snake on with snakes head coming up from behind and standing upright... superglue sticks just about anything - cover the hat in long silver steamers - or whatever colour (buy a pair of cheap pom poms and take them apart) - alternatively use an old clothes hanger open it and twist it into the shape u want.. attach the snake or whatever and clip the hanger into your hair.. used these all the time to make angel thingies for school plays - but also to make those stand out plaits as hair can be plaited around them...
Spray your hair using glitter spray - your hair will be like rock, strong smelling and possibly highly flammable but it will look great! lol.

have fun

Default egyptian costume

I have seen a very effective Cleopatra (or was it Nefertiti) costume which used a tea cosy - one of those big padded ones - as the base for the headdress. Sounds mad, but looked really good!
