Hi
Any ideas how I might recycle this? Got a good crop of tomatoes from 5 bags. I presume the soil is now spent. Just wondering if I could recompost the contents of the 3 bags or would I throw the soil in a ditch in one of the fields. Any ideas?
Thanks

I would add this to my compost heap as it's 'spent', ie most of the goodness has gone. It would be a shame to waste it though. It'll be full of useful microrganisms that'll do wonders for your home made compost.
I often use the stuff my toms have been in (in the polytunnel) to top up my raised beds. If you do similar, just remember toms & spuds are in the same plant family and both therefore suffer the same diseases, so don't put it on land where you are going to grow spuds next season.

You can re-use your tomato bag soil. Just pull out all old debris and spread compost on your veggie plot or put round garden shrubs
