marrowfat peas tablets

Hi everyone,
Would anyone have any ideas on what I could use the tablets that come in the box of marrowfat peas for? I usually use just the one for soaking and there are two in the box.

What is the tablet made of? Should say on the list of ingredients. When you know you can google for uses eg uses for bread soda, uses for vinegar etc.
