Hiya!

Me again,

Why are locations being added at the end of the titles in the wanted threads?, this give the impression that people may only want items from those areas, witch is not always the case.

Hi Tudlytops,

Please see the following Support Forum post:

ALL Members are obviously looking for items in their local area; SOME may be willing to travel, so it makes sense to mention at least the Member's location.

Thanks Chris, i read that, but some people are prepared to travel for items, depending on what its is, if they have more then one thing to collect, if they have someone in further away areas that could collect, etc.

Placing the area will put people off offering items, because they may be far..

Having to click on every ad to know the location of the Member may discourage potential Givers from even using the Wanted forum. Knowing the Taker's location helps. Some Givers may not be prepared to wait for someone to travel halfway across the country for an item.

As I see it, the main downside to adding the location is that there is more text to read (on an already text-heavy site). However, the Wanted listings were never designed to be read/trawled through page by page -- that's why we put in the SEARCH THE WANTED FORUM function. Anyway, we'll see what happens...
