Hi fellow J.T'ers,
I got this mahogany display case from a friend but I don't like dark wood and decided to give it a new life...
Primer plus several coats of gloss and some sample wallpaper turned it into this:

Great job. Isn't it funny how wallpaper looks better on furniture these days than on the wall!

yes Gormal, how true! Hundreds of uses for wall paper samples! I've used them to cover jars/cans to store sewing accessories such as buttons.
Have covered a lampshade with it to match the walls...:)

Well done, isn't it amazing how white paint can completely transform an item of furniture, look forward to seeing future projects...... (if you're anything like me you've been bitten by the bug!!)
Best regards,

Ah Palminnie, at the grand old age of 45 and spending my life bringing up the kids & working, I have finally found a real, genuine passion all for me!!Mind you, I have got himself and the 7 year old into making airfix plane models, so hopefully they will develop a love for art and crafts but particulary for recycling and revamping. Am in the middle of revamping a 1950s mirror but keeping the original features.....watch this space...:)
