Does anyone know where I can purchase 'garden mirror'? It's a mirrored glass made for hanging on garden walls or fences and it gives the illusion of a much bigger garden, it's a special glass that doesn't shatter easily. I've tried a few places but have had no luck getting it.
Thanks

Omg I've seen the stuff you get it on eBay non shatter mirrors you tell them what size you want and they cut it to size cheap as well

Hi,
I bought a beautiful 'romanesque' garden mirror in the Orchard Garden Centre, Celbridge a couple of years ago. It works wonders, bringing interest to a small garden, opening it up and, yes, creating an illusion of light and spaciousness.
good luck in your hunt,
Maureen

Thanks Maureen. Next time I'm heading to Leixlip to visit family I'll pop into that garden centre and have a look.

If you have an old mirror you want to use, just stick a sheet of contact on to the back first. Then if it is accidentally broken, pieces all stay in place. I have several pieces of mirror in the garden and all fine. Not special garden mirror. Beware of being ripped off.

That's a great idea Eibhlin, thanks for that.

Hi, On foot of reply to thread, visited Homestore & More. They've got 2 mirrors, a longer one and a smaller one. Both lovely. Bought shorter one and looking forward to finding it's forever home in my little garden!

Thanks so much everyone, I'm going to Carlow today so I'll pop into Home Store & More (think there's one up there) and have a look. I'm going to go with the 'contact' idea too. My garden is very small, I want the mirrors to give the appearance of it being bigger, I Hope!

That's really lovely Eibhlin, and it's proof too that it isn't necessary to spend a fortune on 'fancy' mirrors. Old mirrors and a good imagination is all that's required. I love your butterflies too (or as my wee neighbour calls them 'flutterbyes') I'll have to get my skates on and get my mirror done, I was lazy last week with all the sunshine. It's time to start watching out for old mirrors at car boot sales me thinks! Thanks for sharing.

Buy some cheap at a boot sale and add the fablon/contact to the back as Eibhlin suggested Good luck.
