Hi,
I've gotten a lot of random buttons off a lot of Jumbletowners over the years and also a lot of keys and i finally got to use them!!! I made one of these in a white colour for my friens as a present and then decided to make one for myself.
The hearts are made of card / ply wood i have lying around. I printed some pics in grayscale and tore the edges and glued them on both sides of the hearts. I painted the hearts and drilled holes in the top and bottom centres and joined them together using old wool I had in a crochet chain. I then decorated each one differently using painted keys, Buttons, Feathers I had collected, String and various cords and wool. I put them in a row of four and when you twist the bottom one it spins to show the other pics on the other sides :)
