Hi Everyone,

I've just come across a great new site that focuses on "holistic interior design," an alternative to conventional interior design. It aims to achieve a harmonious balance between the following three elements:

Interior design & interior architecture

Human health & wellbeing

The natural environment

Nicola Jones, the brains behind the site and all-round design guru, says that "it is possible to design beautiful and functional spaces for you to live and work in, which compliment your lifestyle, provide mental and physical well-being and are environmentally friendly."

The site is packed full of great ideas to make sure that the space you live in is good for you and the environment.

Hi Everyone,

I see that JumbleTown got a mention in an article by interior designer Nicola Elizabeth Jones (see above) in this month's House and Home Magazine.
http://www.houseandhome.ie/default.asp

Nicola's piece consists of notes on essential web addresses for those who are eco-minded and houseproud. One of my favourites is:

a UK company that makes stylish furniture from...well, see if you can tell what the nifty furniture items below once were.

Thanks for the mention, Nicola!

I made a great lightshade for my kitchen from an old chrome collandar. I must dig out the photo and add it. Great ideas and so green too!
