Can You Recycle Old Delph Stuff That Is Not Good Enough To Pass On
Hi carmen,

The larger recycling centres accept delph. Click on the link to your county council for more info (see top and the bottom of JumbleTown's Home Page).

If you are located in Dublin, the following centres accept delph:

Ballyogan Recycling Park
Dublin 18, Ballyogan Rd, Carrickmines, D 18

Coolmine Recycling Centre
Dublin 15, Coolmine Industrial Estate

Estuary Recycling Centre
Swords, Seatown East, Swords, Co Dublin

Ringsend Recycling Centre
Dublin 4, Pigeon House Road, Dublin 4

Finally, I'm sure JumbleTowners have a few suggestions for re-using and/or repurposing your delph.

I had two use of it:
Broke it up to small pices and used it to make mosaic craft. To make it even more colourful I used ceramic paint from craft shop on some sherds.
Broke it up to small pieces and used it at the bottom of flower pots. Also read in a gardening magazine you can fill the bottom of a trough with broken sherds, put stones, grit and compost on it to plant a rock garden.

I have made some lovely flower pots from pieces if broken delph.
Get old clean paint tin or similar type tin
Apply something like polly-filler to outside
Stick pieces of china to same / varying colours
When dry / Varnish or apply polly-bond to seal
Then place nice potted plant in same.

Best if Luck (my grand-mother used to do this 100 yrs ago)
