My goodness, half a minute of that clip would have been enough in my opinion! ;-) Watching the shredder doing his job and then the styrosausage coming out on the other end of the machine isn't that interesting. :-P I would be rather interested in what's happening to those cushions that guy was stepping on at the end! What are they being used for?

That's right, Henriette. In terms of excitement, styrofoam recycling is just about a step up from watching paint dry.

The "cushions" of styrofoam at the end are probably reprocessed into more interesting styrofoam cups...or hummer vehicles. Details on post #15 in the following Green Tips forum thread:

riveting stuff!
thankfully polystyrene can be recycled..lots think it has to be binned.
limerick recycle centre takes polystyrene.. i put it in the bottom of planters.
