I am a big fan of "How clean is your house" and they always use WD-40. It is suposedly very good for softening the glue. It it sit for 30mins and then remove with a palette knife. I have tried it and it works.

I've used baby oil & baby wipes before, they worked for me.
Update-Also just remembered nail polish remover but not sure if it would affect the wood.
Good luck!

Hi
This sounds mad but, Rub mayonaise on them and leave for five minutes and they will just peel off with a paint scraper. It really works!!!!
Brilliant.

All these methods are basically the same. You are using oils and fats to soften the glue on the stickers. I guess fat has some good sides to it!

I know I just use deodrant to take stickers off stuff here, same for chewing gum. It has never let me down!
