Hi guys

how to explain this without the proper terminology hmmmm

ok on home page i have always pressed the button GO beside new items and it showed new items and also new posts on older items, but none of mine are showing!

this has never been a problem before, but i am having to go in to the sections and look for my ads to see if any replies

am still getting email notification thou but thats not always open as its a pain

its not the end of the world but was wondering is this a new feature
and

a - is it just givers own ads
b - am i missing new items/posts

thanks!

Hi Philomena6196,

If your ads are in the Clothes/Shoes forum, then they won't show up in the "New Items" search. Why? Because we've recently removed the Clothes/Shoes forum from the search net as page after page of new Clothes ads were showing up. In other words, the Clothes/Shoes forum was dominating the New Items listings and giving an inaccurate picture of the number and types of items that are listed on JumbleTown.

Hi, I've noticed this myself. Maybe this could be easily sorted by encouraging members to post multiple items on 1 thread.

A few members are posting 1 item in one thread which hogs up the whole system, so if they're posting 10 items, that means ten threads !. So if they posted at least 3 items in each thread that means instead of 10 threads, they only have 3 to 4 theads.

Just a thought for making life easier for people checking thread and definately easier for Admin who have to manage threads/forums.

Thanks for the reminder, nono -- we've given this advice before to Members but they generally find it easier to manage individual threads for individual items. The advice may have to become a rule! We're monitoring the situation.
