Wood Shavings or Sawdust

Hi All
I have rescued some hens and have some of my on as well - 19 altogether - but would anyone know of someone/somewhere near Ballinasloe or Athlone where I can get a fairly regular supply of bedding for the hens. Looking for wood shavings and or sawdust. Free of course!!!

Hi, I don't live anywhere near you but if you have a joinery anywhere near you they are usually glad to get rid of their shavings. Thats how I get mine, only thing to remember only use soft wood (red or white deal), otherwise you will have problems with splinters. Hope this is some use to you.
